your neighbourhood sauna, plunge, studio
arvo noun · australian slang for afternoon.
that slower stretch of the day when things begin to unwind.
now open at 93 Shernhall Street, E17 9HS.
what’s inside?
inspired by the coastal bathhouses you’ll find across australia, arvo is a place to find a little time for yourself.
two saunas, three plunges, one infrared studio.
drop in for a casual session or become a member.
-
Two large traditional Finnish saunas. Both sit between 80 and 90 degrees. No steam, just dry heat the way it's meant to be.
One is social: chat with friends, meet strangers, let the conversation go wherever it goes.
One is silent: no talking, just the heat and whatever's on your mind. Some sessions you just need the quiet.
Pick your mood. Or try both. Each sauna seats up to 12 people.
-
Three ice baths, three temperatures.
The 10°c is the one most people start with. It’s cold enough to feel it but manageable enough to actually get in.
The 7°c is for when you're ready to challenge yourself a little more.
The 5°c is for when you're ready to go deeper.
They’re all cold enough to feel the benefits.
The transition from hot to cold is where the magic happens but there is no pressure to step into a plunge at all.
-
the studio is small and restorative on purpose. We have a max of 8 people in each class.
it's not another thing you squeeze in before work and rush to get to.
it's built to work with the heat and the cold. come for a slow yoga flow before you sauna, or a strong pilates class before you plunge.

our story
London doesn’t pause for you,
so we built a space that does.
arvo sauna is simple. We want to create a warm, inviting space that leaves you feeling lighter than when you arrived.
no notifications. No pressure. No crowds.
just warmth, water, and social connection.
it started with our own experiences. Hot and cold therapy helped us recover, unwind, and feel more at ease in the middle of the chaos of city living. Now we’re sharing our space with you.
come and soak it up, chat, connect, relax.
we can’t wait to meet you!
